Agility course question
At the NADAC trial we attended last weekend, both judges used the same
courses both days. The course that we ran on Saturday, the other ring ran on Sunday and vice versa. This means that if you were able to, you could spend Saturday evening practicing the next day's courses. I don't think I've ever had this happen before. Mostly we run AKC, so it this a NADAC thing? Or is it just something that I either didn't notice or that just didn't happen at the trials I went to? (We sometimes only run one day so I could have just missed it.) The judges didn't make individual copies of the courses available to the entrants but they were posted for the whole weekend. It doesn't seem fair to me. If I set up the course at home and ran Spenser through it twice, he'd have it memorized and we'd avoid all traps - and a lot of handler errors. (Any more than twice and Spenser would be bored and making up his own course when faced with again.) Those two errors that kept us from qualifying on the Gamblers and the Jumpers would not have happened even the second time through. Just wondering.............. -- ~~Judy "Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." -- Roger Caras |
