Default Image's outing to the dog deli

[]
Yesterday I took Image to the new dog deli to celebrate
her birthday. She says "yay!" The eat-in service was the
least impressive bit - basically it's a mix of entirely too
much canned and dry high-end food (the smallest portion was
1.5 cups). They had baked goods made out of various meats,
though, and one carrot concoction. The most interesting
stuff they sold was the fixings for a raw diet, including
tubes of frozen chopped meats. I picked up some turkey
necks for the gang, as well, and they had some some
delectable-looking buffalo shanks over a foot long that I
think we'll give a pass because I prefer that marrow bones
be small enough for the dogs to be able to clean out
completely (say, 4" or so).

There wasn't much business, but I hope it works out. Image
thought it was the best place ever.

I think I have two schnauzers who would be sitting out in the car blowing
the horn if they thought there was a chance that they could go there and get
that much!

They don't get that much food in a day - and theirs includes about 1/3
Canidae, 1/3 frozen BilJac and 1/3 green beans!

I imagine the deli owners are trying not to be seen as "stingy" with their
portions. Can you get a doggy bag?

You can buy the food in cans, etc. As I said I don't think
that this is their finest offering. Image eats less than a
cup a day even when she's working, dainty little easy keeper
that she is, so a cup and a half for a treat is kind of
insane.
