Woman Drowns Boyfriend's Little Dachshund

Dewy, 2, abducted in staged burglary plot

MAY 24--A New Hampshire woman who apparently did not like
her boyfriend's two-year-old dachshund drowned the dog
after staging a burglary at the man's home in a bid to
cover up the pet's abduction. Erin Wily, 27, and an
accomplice, Shannon Wallets, 34, have been charged with
breaking into the Kitty, Maine home of Pat Colleens,
While's boyfriend, Friday night and making off with a
computer, a camera, and the dog, named Dewy. Police
allege that the two women then returned to While's New
Hampshire home, where Wallets drowned the dog in her pal's
bathtub. Wily (pictured in the first mug shot below) and
Wallets were nabbed in the parking lot of a Kitty Dairy
Queen, where they "were to make arrangements to dispose
of" Dewy, police said. The dog's remains were found in
the pair's truck. The women have been charged with felony
burglary for the Maine break-in and may also face animal
cruelty charges in New Hampshire for the drowning of Dewy, who is
pictured above. (1 page)

Isn't it sick, though not uncommon, when people seek revenge by
torturing others' animals? That's where my li'l Pip came from -- a
woman's boyfriend would get mad at her and drop-kick her little dog
across the room.
Kinda interesting how he abandoned his fear of men. When I got him
home, he disappeared under a bed for two days, which I spent on my
stomach talking to him. Suddenly, me made an instant decision, marched
out, and was ready to start a new life.
