Crate Anxiety
I have two Bostons that have slept in their crates for 6 hours each
night in a large (11 x 10) walk in closet. It has become a routine that when 12 pm gets here they automatically run to their crates and get in. During the day they go in their crates for naps. Recently, one of the Bostons began whining in the middle of the night to be let out. Now when we try to get her in her crate she begins to tremble and shake uncontrollably. My husband and I have torn the closet apart looking for spiders, ants or anything that might have scared her. The only change has been that my 80 year old mother who is blind recently moved in with us and now sleeps in the bedroom. After the anxiety attacks we moved the crates to our bedroom but the Boston still refuses to get in. Anyone ever heard of a 13 year old dog suddenly getting crate anxiety? |
