Default Dog freaks out when I take off his harness

We have a 10 year old small poodle terrier which we've had for 8 years. All
of the sudden he started squeaking and freaking out and twisting his body
around when we take off his walking harness. After he gets out of the
harness he runs around excited for a minute. He doesn't do it when we put
it on. He doesn't seem to be in pain. We've taken him to the vet and he
seems to have no health problems. Any ideas of how to change his behavior or
some kind of quck release harness that can help?

THANX
