For All the Ones We've Loved and Lost

It really so hard to know what to say,
when another breath is taken away.

When the sun has set and our shadow is gone,
then the moon rises and the ghosts are born.

We do not forget them when they depart
They will always be with us, they are part of our heart.

Our tears flow feely as we feel the pain,
and yet we honor them by loving again.

Very nice, Diane.

I read this on Suzanne Clothier's site last night:

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our
own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept
its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only
certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan."
