You need really good light to photograph black dogs, or use black and white
film! We had three GSDs - a solid black, a blonde and a black and tan and we could never get a good group photo - if Josey, the black dog, photographed well, the blonde would wash out. If the blonde dog, Trooper, came out well, we lost the facial features of the black dog. Very frustrating indeed! Lea

You need really good light to photograph black dogs, or use black and white
film! We had three GSDs - a solid black, a blonde and a black and tan and we could never get a good group photo - if Josey, the black dog, photographed well, the blonde would wash out. If the blonde dog, Trooper, came out well, we lost the facial features of the black dog. Very frustrating indeed! Lea
