Default Two Home-Made Power Treats

Liverwurst. Cut up into small pieces, then microwaved for 2 minutes wrapped in
a paper towel. Oh my. They STINK. Dogs gave them four-paws up.

And I finally got around to playing around with jack mackerel recipes. I
combined a can of mackerel with the juices, garlic powder, flour and water,
threw in some Missing Link, then blended it. I put little dollops of it all
over a paper plate, and microwaved for 2 minutes. I made a ton of it, then had
quite a bit of batter left over that I froze.

Four-paws up again.

Cheaper than store-bought treats, healthier, and powerfully motivating. Mom
will not be buying treats any more. :}

Oh, Leah, a fellow treat-maker! What fun to share.
Liverwurst is a secret weapon, isn't it? Gala swallows her antibiotics
wrapped in it without a hitch.
And I'm a big fan of jack mackerel, but have just mixed it with
kibble, not made a treat. Have you discovered dried anchovies as a
training treat? Found them, ruinously expensive, at a pet store, then
found you can buy them cheaper for humans in the Asian section of the
market.
