Default Melatonin and Fear of Lightning and Thunder

I have searched and found mention of the use of melatonin for dogs who
are afraid of lightning and thunder.

Has anyone used this? Has anyone had any bad side effects using this
on their dogs?

I've tried Rescue Remady and it doesn't work for my dog. I have also
tried music, and those thunderstorm cd's. Neither work. My dog has no
problem with fireworks just thunderstorms. Maybe its the lightning or
the change in pressure. In either case I'd like to try melatonin,
however,I am hoping to find out from someone if there are any bad side
effects.

Thanks for any help

HarryWu
