I kept an eye on my dog's foot, after she started wearing the fur away. A week later she seemed listless. The paw didn't look bad at all, other than some scabbing from where she licked so hard. Took her to the vet, put her on antibiotic, and she died a few days later. Evidently an infection from a bite, maybe spider, opossum, skunk. www.loftpress.com/bookmain/lightrucmain
