I will have to watch my Lab when I wake her .
I have never noticed it.
However my GSD used to get a wrinkled head when she was playful.
One thing I will say that I think is amazing about my Lab.
When she is happy like most dogs she wags her tail.
When she is really really happy it goes round in a complete circle from

the
base.
I would not have thought that was possible.
Pat.

Wow other dogs do that? When Reilly (rough collie) gets ultra excited,
his tail does the complete circle thing...very cute.

Nat

I thought it was just Labradors that did that.
As my last Labrador x did it to.
Wonder if there are other dogs that do it.
GSDs do not ,well none of mine have.
Pat.

My South-African Mastiff has a cropped tail, and does the same thing with
his little stub. Total propeller. And sometimes when he gets exceptionally
excited, his tail will "freeze" - as if it sort of locks itself in a
sideways position. It will twitch spasmodically (usually at a right angle,
for some reason), but not wag from side to side. It's hysterical to behold.
