Well,folks, that is it.

Tomorrow, June 28,2004 , 'Dangerous Dogs' law to be voted
in Israely Knesset ( approved in primary votes).
I'm very sorry to say that this gonna be plain vanilla 'breed ban'.
So much for common sence of israely politicians.

What is the purpose of the law?:
According to member of Knesset Sa'ar,
the law is to achieve that in several years those dangerous
species(sic -Nick) won't be found on the surface of the country.
He said,that like nobody walks crocodile on street and nobody
raise tiger at home, nobody should keep dangerous species of
dogs at their family home.

What are those danderous "species" ?
-Am.Staff, Rottweiler, Pitbull AFAIK.

How to achieve that?
- Every owner of such a dog must stand before municipal vet with his/her
dog to be decided if owner is permitted to keep the dog and on what
conditions.
100% of 'Dangerous dogs' should be fixed/spayed.
Import of these breeds to be banned.

And if not ?
- Owner breaking the law is to be punished (up to 3 years in jail).

Who is against the law?
- Main figures are MK Omri Sharon (son of PM Arik) and
MK Inbal Gavrieli,both quite notorious in Israel.
Omri is doing all dirty work for his father
and Inbal ,well, it's just rumours, belongs to the mob.
Actually, she is only a niece of one ,they say, mobster.
Main pro and anti lobbists belong to the same party (Likud).

Animals rights activists?

- They were so busy last week trying to prevent Trip being
put to sleep. Trip is the name of the dog that ten days ago
mauled to death Avivit Ganon, 4years old.
Trip was put to sleep according to judge order. It happend
minutes before another judge suspened this order.
The family of Avivit 'has no objections' to demolition of Trip.

Owners?

- are just desperate.
