Strange sleeping habit
This might sound silly, but is there any harm in my collie sleeping in
the toilet of a night? He just loves sleeping in there for some reason but I'm worried the cold floor is bad for his joints? The toilet is right outside my room... Nat |

This might sound silly, but is there any harm in my collie sleeping in the toilet of a night? In the actual toilet, yes. he'd be wet and soggy and depending on orientation, could drown ;-D. He just loves sleeping in there for some reason but I'm worried the cold floor is bad for his joints? The toilet is right outside my room... In the toilet room (bathroom to those of us in the US), is fine - many dogs prefer a cool tile floor. If you have carpet in your bedroom, it's not unusual for a dog to seek out a nearby but cool surface. Janet Boss http://bestfriendsdogobedience.com/ http://photos.yahoo.com/bestfriendsobedience |

But it bogglers me that a collie could fit in the toilet! I wouldn't allow my dog to sleep in the toilet. She wouldn't fit (as you can tell, the bathtub is tight enough.) And I'd be afraid she's drown in the toilet. Besides, she might get crapped on in the night. http://aad.lomag.net/diddy/dogs/bathtub.html Er ok, need to clarify obviously! It's not IN the actual toilet, it's in the room the toilet is in, which judging by the next post, is called the bathroom in the US. We don't call the toilet the bathroom because we have a...well, bathroom. Eek, I' m as confused as my dog..hehe. Nat |
