11 Month Old Dog Chewing
I need some serious help. Our 11 month old dog is chewing our house into
pieces. He has chewed our carpet, staircase, couch and much more. We have so many chew toys for this dog, but he does this when he doesn't get his way. IE. He chewed our staircase when my wife wouldn't let him get in the tub with our 2 year old. So he went off and went crazy. I am at wits end with this thing destructing our house. I have done everything that our instructors has said, everything the books have said and yet to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ryan |

I had two huskies and we currently have a husky mix. They will chew everything in sight when they are bored or unhappy. We survived puppy hood with some form of sanity by crating when we can't supervise and restricting access to the parts of the house that we can't supervise. Besides protecting your house and contents, it's also for their safety. Some of the things they find to chew on may not be healthy for them (i.e. houshold chemicals, plants, leaded paints, electrical cords, etc...). "puppy" proofing is much harder then baby proofing a house. Eventually, they pass this phase. See ya, -ingo -- /* Ingo Cyliax, , Tel: 812-391-0895 */ |
