Default AAARGH! Garbage Pails and Puppies

....Puppies of all species!

When Macula was a little squirt, she proved herself to be a dumpster diver.
We moved the waste baskets up on to shelves and the problem was solved.

Now Chris and Alex have discovered the waste baskets :-( They *love* to
pull the baskets off the shelves, and pull everything out. Macula is
waiting, ever near, ready to shed anything the boys discard as
uninteresting. Between the 3 of them, I feel like I'm living in a landfill
site.

GRUMBLE

I'd hang the baskets from the ceilings, but with my luck the cats would
decide I had made them pinatas.

Stainless steel trashcan with a foot-pedal opener. Even four-year old
DS doesn't weigh enough to open it, and Guinness hasn't figured it out
either. The one time Guinness knocked it over, it didn't open for him.
Life saver in the kitchen, I tell you!

Emmett figured that one out (slammed on the pedal with both
front feet together), but fortunately he's not interested in
raiding the garbage can (he's more interested in watching
the lid fly up) and I'm especially grateful that he didn't
show the other dogs his neat trick.
