Default Bulldog licking

My 4 year old bulldog has IBD. She seems ok now, but is on a special diet. The
latest problem is licking. She licks the air , sometimes for 2 hours. We can
distract her with food, ice cubes, scratching her back, but she starts licking
again when the distraction is removed. She has done this briefly in the past,
but now it has been 3 days. Can't get her to the vet til Friday. Any
suggestions?

Does she shake when she does this?
