Hurricane Jeanne
I can't believe this. It's heading right for ME. They predict the eye will be
over Oviedo, where I work (about 15 miles away), and were talking about the floods expected in Sanford, where I live. We have to leave again. I can't afford it, but mostly I don't know if I can handle it well. I'll handle it, but how well is another story. I've been trying to fool myself into believing that I have an "oh, well, another storm, didn't get hurt much by the first two" attitude. But I'm not being very convincing. :} I can't bear the thought of loading up the kids and taking off again, that was SO stressful for all of us (even though it was fun once we got there). Yet I still have limbs and debris all over my yard and on my roof. Missiles. Last I heard, it was going to be as powerful as Charley and as big as Frances. If it wasn't for the animals, I'd just ask to go stay with a friend in a less compromised house (or DH, in his apartment - not such a big deal if an apartment is damaged, you're not responsible for it). But I don't want to risk them being harmed, and I don't want them to have to go through the trauma again (especially with a panicked mom), so I've got to find someplace out of the path to head out. I know I'm extremely on edge because I SHRIEKED at Madigan today, and scared her. I never do that. And even though I realized what I had done, and felt horrible about it, about an hour later I SHRIEKED at McTavish. Who ignored me. :} This sucks so bad it turns itself inside out.
