Default Adventures of Starchaser

I believe I've posted about this dog before. She's a 1-1/2 year old GSD, and
has now started her third class with me.

Chase is unique not only because she's incredibly intelligent, but because she
has gone that step over the outer limits by displaying that she knows how to
use tools. To recap what she has done:

1. Taught herself to bring sticks in the house so she could use them to poke
the food out of her kongs.

2. Wanted to get something on a counter she couldn't reach, so pulled a chair
up to the counter.

3. Didn't like what was on the TV, so turned it off.

Well, let's add a couple of items to Chase's accomplishments. :}

4. Chase's Mom noticed that there was always water on the floor under her
water cooler, and thought it was leaking. What she discovered was that Chase
had watched her operate it, learned how to do it, and was giving herself drinks
of cold water.

5. She enrolled in my tricks class using a clicker, and Mom found out how to
load the clicker ahead of class. It took 3 clicks for Chase to learn what the
clicker was all about. Later this uber-GSD found the clicker lying on a table,
picked it up and brought it to Mom. When she got her hoomin's attention, she
clicked the clicker, dropped it on the floor, and then waited expectantly for
her treat. When Mom was too shocked to respond, she picked it up again,
clicked it again, dropped it again, and waited again. Hey, Mom, this is
supposed to produce a treat. Capiche?
