Default Rescued dog does not get along with my dogs

My son rescued a beautiful Bouvier des Flanders neutered male 3 years old.

The dog is extremely aggressive towards other dogs. When my son brings him
to our house, he wants to attack our dog(s). I have a fair amount of
training experience, but am at a loss here.

My son has a roommate that has a dog as well. Initially, he had to keep the
dog downstairs, separated from his roommates dog. The roommate let the dogs
out together when my son was not home. Luckily, they did not wind up drawing
any blood. My sons dog immediately established himself as Alpha.

I can not take the chance that his dog wont bite my dog. When we try to
introduce them on neutral ground, while on lead, his dog is scary!! Growling
and snapping and lunging when they even get close!

Any ideas? I really need to resolve this as my son takes his dog everywhere
and we don't get to see him as much.

Thanks in advance for any and all ideas/opinions. Please reply to my email
as well at .

Thanks!

Papa

Why not post something useful?? I may be new to THIS group, but it seems
there is always these type of answers when someone asks a serious question.

I would simply talk to him and ask that he leave the dog at home before
there are any serious injuries to the dogs. I to have a dog who is very
aggressive towards other dogs. There are only 3 other dogs that he has ever
gotten along with. One of them is my other dog and the other two are my
sisters chi hua huas. For some reason he doesn't see them as a threat.

I have come to realize that this behavior in Barney is never going to
change. He's been like this ever since he was attacked by another dog as a
pup. He reached that 18 month old maturity and his personality did a 360
from a wimp to a dog who will try and attack any other dog he sees. He has
the attitude I'm going to get him before he ever has the chance to come at
me.
