Q: Curious about strange digging behaviour
Tobi is just about a year of age labradoodle puppy. He is quite good with
chasing and bringing a tennis ball, except when we are on a sandy beach. He goes after it (which often involves swimming), brings it to the shore, at times even close to me... and then the curious part begins. He would drop it in the sand, and then start digging around it. Very seldom he will actually pick it up himself - if I want him to chase it again, or go for another swim, it is up to me to go and pick it up. He appears to be having lots of fun digging it, jumping at it, and what not - but he won't pick it up. Any idea what it might be? Unless it is because he doesn't want to get sand in his mouth... ;-) Curious Simon |
