Default Dog humping infant

I've just noticed for the first time today our female dachshund humping our
infant daughter. She was lying on the floor on her stomach. The dog, who
is fixed, came around her from the back and started humping her. Never
before have I seen this dog hump anything until now. Instinct is telling me
to be worried about this behavior. Am I right?

Well as long as its not a male and not fixed i wouldnt worry to much lol,
your dog could be showing your small infant that the dog is the alpha and
is above your infant.

sounds like your dog is trying to see where the new pack member fits into
the order of things. personally, i would not let that behavior continue.
