Default Male dog question

Hi, I have a 4 month old Westie dog who still stoops to pee at what age is
it normal for him to lift his leg to pee ? my last dog was a bitch and the
one before that was a grown rescue dog so I honestly don't know the answer
as I have never had a male puppy.

It varies a lot. Some dogs never lift their legs. Quite a few lift
sometimes and squat others. Both my males squat to relieve themselves and
lift only to mark. I would expect most males have done at least some leg
lifting by about 18 months.
