Default Why I sculpt only pets

Hi everyone,
I love animals a lot. I am an experienced Turkish sculptor who
sculpts only animals. In this message, for anyone who may care to
hear, I would like to let the world know of the meaning of my art for
me, as so many people always ask me why I sculpt just pets and nothing
else. I do what I do, because I believe that original art is for
capturing and preserving unique feelings that move us most. My art is
for people do not undermine the power of an incredibly large, innocent
heart thriving on human companionship, and feel that the intensity of
this bond is beautiful. My sculptures are for anyone who feels that
this bond is beautiful enough to be poured into art. Among everything
else, this intense, uncomplicated, unconditional pure love inspires me
most as the theme of my art. This is why I only choose to do custom
sculptures of only people's pets in clay - life size, one to one
likeness. I then color my sculptures with oil paints like a painting.
I usually work with people coping with pet loss - people who
agree with me that lives may have an end, but works of art may live
on. Even though lives are irreplaceable, my work gives people the
chance to see their love captured, honored, preserved and made to
materialize as something precious again, to always stay there for
them.
I insist on doing original custom pieces and do not resort to
commercial mass production, because I never believe even for a single
moment that art, too may be produced by machines for the masses.
Traditionally costing around 5 to 20 thousand dollars, I make custom
sculpting affordable for everyone with a pet they love.
Sincerely and best regards,
Asli Cetinel – Turkish sculptor and painter
