How do your dogs react differently when you (or your significant other) are
out of town??

When I am out of town, Moogli gets much more reactive and protective of
Genevieve. He is much more alert at night and reacts to sounds much
quicker.

Here is a message that I sent to some other friends today describing it.

As most of you know, Moogli sleeps in bed with Gen and I. Usually at our
feet, but he will sneak in between us (stealing all the covers while doing
so) if he has a chance. He is also pretty quiet at night. On average, once
every 2 or 3 weeks, he will wke up, decide that people outside the
apartment are making toomuch noise, and will bark at them.

While I was away, according to Gen. He barked more often. At least 3 or 4
times a night. And not the simply whuffs/soft barks/growls he does when I
am around. Full throated barks. And when he wasn't barking, he would be
standing on the corner of the bed, staring out the bedroom door, waiting
for something EEEEEVIIIIILLLLL to come through the door.

I was gone Moonday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night. All three
nights he barked like a fool. Thursday night, I got back, and he slept the
sleep of the righteous.
