Ultrasonic Whistling?
I have discovered that if I whistle without making the sound, blowing
air just like whistling but so that I can only hear the air blowing, Danny can hear my whistle in the ultrasonic range and boy does he respond. Whenever he is doing anything in the house that I'd like to interrupt, I use this "whistle" and he immediately stops what he's doing and comes to me all excited. Usually, he jumps into my lap and licks my face. He's as excited as he is when expecting a car ride. In fact, Danny was just upstairs and I'm downstairs at the computer, so basically, he was in the kitchen which is directly above me. I did my whistle and sure enough he came down a few stairs and looked at me, like he's saying, you called? Then he ran to me and jumped up, nosing me. Danny likes to go under an end table and dig the rug. I whistle him out and he comes every time. I just wondering if I'm training him or he's training me... if he's bored and is interrupting me from watching tv??? Smart boy Danny!! |
