[OT] Take a moment
At the appropriate time, please observe 2 minutes of silence today to
remember all those that have fought (and died) so that we may have the freedoms we have today. In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. -- Marcel and Moogli |

And during those two minutes, remember that those who fought and died for us
did so hoping there would be lasting peace. A fitting tribute to them would be a commitment to seeing this come true. "If there is to be peace in the world, There must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, There must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, There must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, There must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, There must be peace in the heart." chinese philospher - lao-tse - 6th century bce "Marcel Beaudoin" wrote in message . ..
