Default How to find a break in an electronic dog fence

I have an electonic fence that works very well. Unfortuanely, a break
in the wire seems to have occurred someplace. How can I find this?

Is it one of those "invisible" fences? If so, good luck. You'll have to
dig up the whole thing. Walk along the perimiter first, though, maybe it
washed up to the surface.

If not, you'll just have to go along it and find the break.

Unless you have access to tracing equipment, you will have to go at it
logically.

Expose it at the halfway point - check which side the break is on
Expose it at the halfway point of the half that has the break

As above until you narrow it down

could you take the dogs collar off and walk along the wire while holding it?

according to Innotek, the tracing equipment is available at Radio Shack. I
checked into it, about $20. then you just use a portable radio tuned to a
certain station to find the break.

Id give Radio Shack and/or your eq manufacturer a call to find out how to do
it with your system.
