Low protien diet
Need help getting my 9 yr old Chihuahua to eat her low protein
diet. She was put on Hill's i/d due to a liver problem. She ate that for 3 days and then said "No way". So then the vet put her on Select Care Modified. She ate this for 8 days and then another "No way". As a last resort it was a home cooked diet of: 1/4 lb ground beef 1 hard boiled egg diced 2 C. cooked rice 3 slices of bread crumpled Vitamin supplement once a day Now she is refusing to eat the home cooked meal. Does anyone have any ideas on how to enhance this without adding more protein. The dog is still very active, plays ball, loves to walk & still chases our cat. I just don't want her to start losing weight. Thanks, Sg |
