Default A dogs age

I have a Rat Terrier, that I have had for about a year now. He was a stray,
and I brought him in. Therefore, I do not know how old he is. He is very
active, but Rat Terriers are supposed to be active all their lives. Does
anyone know of a way to find out, around what age a dog is? ( ways other
then checking the teeth?) Thank you!!!

What did your vet say? Have you asked him/her?

Well I havent taken him to the vet in a while (very costly, but a couple
months after I found him, we took him up to a vet, and I briefly asked her
about how old the dog was, and she said she wasen't sure because it's hard
to tell after they are puppies. All she could tell me was that he wasen't
a puppy. I looked on websites about how to find out how old your dog is,
and a lot of them say look at the teeth. If they are white, then it is
prob. a puppy. My dog's teeth were white when I found him, but I believe
it's because someone owned him.(???)
