Default 10 month GSD

I have the opportunity of fostering a 10 month GSD, with an eye toward
adoption.
This dog is young, obviously. What issues am I likely to run into?
I don't know all that much about babies!

Don't worry about babies. The dog is entering adolescence. She'll
likely be very energetic, lively, active, playful. If you don't amuse
her and tire her our sufficiently, she may amuse herself by ripping up
carpets, tearing down screens, and chewing on everything in sight.

And a delight. Will you be taking her to obedience class? That would
be a very good thing for both you and her to do.

Good luck, and enjoy her!

You might want to check out www.germanshepherds.com - it is a moderated web
site that has a board where you can post all sorts of GSD related questions.

The board is frequented by German Shepherd lovers - some folks are brand new
to the breed and others have had GSDs their entire lives.

Best wishes fostering the GSD. I am owned by three - my grand old lady,
Trooper, who is 13 1/2, another is a GSD/Malamute, Moochie, who just turned
nine and my GSD pup, Remo, was a year old August 30th. He is now a full
blown teenager!!

Last night he attended a fund raiser Bingo that we held. He was led around
by a six year old (that he did not know) all evening long and he had over a
hundred different folks petting him. He handled it so well and I am so
proud of him.
