Arthritus Medicine
I am giving my 12 year old CORTA-RX per the vet to help his arthritis. It
is a liquid and apparently not a very tasty one at that. I have given it straight, in his food, on a piece of loaf bread, on bread with peanut butter, and on a biscuit mixture. He has gotten very wary of taking it either way although the peanut butter does ok. Does anyone have some sort of idea as to how I could prepare his meds for say a week at a time out of something that he would eat and that would be easy to give? |

Ask the vet if a flavor can be added to make it more palatable. Compounding pharmacies for humans will often do this too. I personally don't like to mix bad tasting medicine with treats my dog likes to eat. I'd rather give him the med straight up and then reward him afterward with an unadulterated piece of something he likes. Cate |
