Default Coping with loss

We recently lost our dog to kidney failure. We did everything we could but I
suppose it was his time. He was our first dog and none of us knew how much
it could hurt. Myself, I know he's dead but part of me keeps thinking he's
going to walk through the door anytime....otherwise I feel dazed and
completely numb of any emotion. My mother plays the blame game along with
what-if's, but otherwise seems to be handling it decently, compared to the
rest of us. I'm especially worried about my father, who has had chronic
diarreah about 8 times a day since he died Oct. 31.

I'm sorry to burden the group with my family's problems but does anybody
know of a decent strategy or anything that can help my family get through
this? We could really use some help.

Nonanda
