Default Lame Boxer..

Hi,

Posting this on behalf of a friend of mine..

Basically she's got a one year old male Boxer who developed a limp in
his front left leg a couple of months ago.. some days he seems fine,
other days he limps a bit after getting up but is then alright, or
sometimes it's there for most of the day.. always gets particularly
noticable after a walk (which he's barely had in an effort to rest
him). He doesn't appear in pain from it, doesn't mind his leg being
moved around and plays quite happily around the house.
Numerous expensive trips to the vets and x-rays have only resulted in
responses such as "we can't find/see anything wrong" or "rest him and
see what happens" which is no help at all really.. especially as
getting a Boxer to rest isn't the easiest thing to do!

Anyone been in a similar situation and have any suggestions as to what
it could be? Are there things that don't show up on x-rays such as a
small chip of bone in the joint, or damaged ligaments, or cartilage
problems etc?

Any other kinds of therapy that might be of use?

Thanks
