Finding good homes for puppies in Minnesota
We rescued a yellow lab mix just after Thanksgiving. She is a
wonderfull dog and a great addition to the family. However after we got her we found out she was "with puppies" The puppies were born on Dec. 27th and are now ready for good homes. And this is the problem. If we take then to the humain soc they will charge us $50 per pup. We have 6 puppies and can not afford $300 to get rid of them. We just want them to go to good homes. If anyone in Minnesota can offer some advice I would be happy to get it! Thanks! Will PS PLEASE CC if you post a reply as I don't get onto usenet much these days |

If anyone in Minnesota can offer some advice I would be happy to get it! Contact local/in-state all-breed rescues. Rescues *always* have people wanting puppies yet rescues usually don't get alot of puppies because they're highly adoptable from shelters or salable by breeders. Visit petfinder.org and do a shelter/rescue search (top of the page) to find rescues in your state. Email them, explain your situation and ask if they are interested in helping you place the pups. They will keep the fee and the pups will need to be fully vaccinated prior to placement, they may also require that they take them into their fostercare program for personal evaluation, but you'll likely find better help from that quarter than doing placements on your own. -- Tara |
