Default Belated brag - Bonnie represents!

Still computer-less for the moment, thus the late posting (I now have
a phone - after living in my new place for 8 weeks - but now my
hardware is not cooperating).
On July 12/13, Bonnie earned her Rally level 2 in three consecutive
trials, with scores of 189, 183, and 189! Most of the points lost
were due to handler errors... She is now a "R2CL" - the CL is Cum
Laude, because her scores average in the 80s. In the 90s, a dog is
"Magna Cum Laude", or MCL. I've been very pleased with her
performances - she's not flashy, but she's steady and attentive.
She had a grand time despite the heat, even got to meet her buddy
Sparky, another blind collie (also born blind, but due to
microopthalmia). Sparky's owner and I joke about being the "blind
collie club" representatives. Bonnie celebrated her victory by
enjoying a large marrow bone while sprawled out directly in front of
the air conditioner as soon as we got home. Usually her bones are
restricted to the kitchen, but what the heck.
Next step? I'm contemplating doing a few more trials for
championship points. To get a RCH, a dog needs to stack up 100 points
in both Level 1 and 2 competitions - 1 point for a 191, 2 for a 192,
etc.

extremely proud.
