Default Adequate dimensions/materials for a doghouse

Doug B said in rec.pets.dogs.breeds:

So how big should it be built and do you have any
suggestions of what kind of wood to use.

My dog house is about 25'x30', built using standard 2x4
construction. It's insulated and has plenty of windows with
good views that help my dogs protect my property.

Also does anyone know a good way to stop dalmations from
barking?

Why are they barking?

This was never an issue at our old place but now the
neighbors make such a fuss about it. I really dislike old
people who have nothing better to do than whine about dogs
barking, I think people ought to be euthanized when they
turn 60.

You could turn this to your advantage. Think "soylent green".

HTH!
