Default Saint B digging

Our Saint Bernard has been digging in the yard. Chasing after moles and
field mice, I guess.

When it's a 150-lb dog moving earth, "digging" is such a bland word.

Looks like a moonscape back there. Like a drunk attacked my yard with a
mini-backhoe.

Seriously, some of the holes are 3+ ft deep chuckle. Looked out one
time, and he was head-first in one, with most of his body hidden.

I had a large 100+ lb Ridgeback that would dig at times.

I always put his poop in the holes - he stopped real soon. This worked for
any outdoor behavior I didn't like - taking the gutters off the house,
chewing on the air conditioner coils and even the outdoor grill cover - I
literally had **** on the grill (cover of course) but he always steered
clear of it and it cured them all pretty quickly one summer.

Thanks, that's a great idea. Heaven knows we've got no shortage of poop
here, LOL.

I'm thinking about covering parts of the yard with several inches of
gravel. Think that would help? I actually don't mind if he digs some
holes, but would like to confine the digging to certain areas.
