FlackJacket story is lie!

... He claims that the Canadian Imperial Bank Of Commerce froze his funds. Bull, they have not called themsleves that in 10 years. This is a LIE, a FALSEHOOD told by someone with a hidden agenda. Now, now... The story stinks to high heaven, but it looks much more like someone who was terribly disorganized about his or her international move lashing out at anything and everything that could take the blame for this sad outcome. For what it's worth, I'm a newish immigrant from the US (8 years) and I'm quite aware of the bank's old name. If I were telling the sad story of how the bank failed to bend over backwards to make up for my ****-poor planning, I might spell out that name, unaware that the bank reduced itself to its initials years ago. Adults do their homework, make sure that they have contingency funds available, and plan for the worst. Others blame everyone else for their misfortunes. When we moved to Canada, we also received the bureaucratic run-around from one of the big banks. We chose to put our entire portfolio with a credit union instead, and were delighted with the service. Planning, planning, planning, people. Kate |
