Default Need new homes

Hello,
I was a breeder of cocker spaniels several years ago.
Recently an owner of two of my dogs (bought as pups) contacted me and said
he could no longer care for them.
He doesn't want to take them to a shelter and one of them is a special needs
dog. Needs thyroid meds 1x per day. These dogs are approaching 8 years and
are half brothers and have ALWAYS been together. Nice dogs and were
cherished pets and pampered and loved until owners got divorce. I can't care
for them as I have other dogs and many horses I care for and am disabled.
They are not big dogs but want to get them in a stable loving environment .
.. . help or refer me? These dogs would do best in a "no small children"
home.

Thanks,
Karen

For those who do *not* know...you might mention that the thyroid medication
is pretty cheap.

You are responsible because they exist. You chose to breed them. And as a
responsible breeder, you should be committed to taking them back and
offering a forever home for every dog you ever bred.

and she is responiblly trying to find a better home for them then she is
currently able to provide...
if i were closer and we had the room.. i'd take them.. we've two other dogs,
both medial "rescues".. one with a heart 9and now kidney) problems and the
other with thyroid or allergy problems.. (we're still testing..) but we
just haven't got the room for more right now...

you could try www.petshub.com they have several chat forums, including a
"rescue" forum where you can post pets who need new homes..

good luck

Davina
