Default Corgi Endurance

In today's Las Vegas Review-Journal is a story of people who did a three day
ride following the Old Spanish Trail.

One really dear picture is of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi laying atop a saddle of
a horse, either asleep or unconscious. The caption says he is asleep. It
is a really great picture for Corgi owners.

I have a Pembroke. He is one tough dog, but when it comes to running or
walking any distance, he just poops out. I guess he has to take 5-10 times
more steps than the average long legged dog. He will come over and beg to
be picked up when he is really tired. He will even tolerate an ATV ride.
He doesn't usually like to be held, unless he is just pooped out. I don't
believe I could ever get him to sleep on a saddle unless given enough
valium.

Scroll down.

Is this typical? I'd like to hear from other Corgi owners about this.

Don't know if this pic would be at their website, but you might want to see
if it is. It is a really cute Corgi picture. (aren't they all?)

Hey Steve:

Great picture! Lots of horse folks keep corgis, so I would imagine this is
just a case of a corgi used to horses and taking advantage of the situation.
My Pem, Woody, will sleep whereever he can LOL

I just want to know how he got up there. But knowing my Buddy (Oliver), he
would find a way, even if it was to wear out the horse with antagonism until
the thing laid down for him to get on!
