Default Dogmobile advice needed

A friend of mine in rescue has the Subaru Outback. She doesn't normally use
crates when riding with her two Boxers but she did once get 4 medium-sized
suitcase style wire crates in there with the seats down. With the back seat
up the rear space would be comfortable for your two big dogs to ride freely
and the little one riding elsewhere.

My parents always had Subarus when I was growing up and they're what I
learned to drive in. My dad had a stripped down base model '86 hatchback
and my mom had the same year nicer model sedan. Both drove very well. The
hatchback was a 4spd w/vinyl floors & seats so it was slightly noisy but was
very zippy. The sedan was comparable to a Honda Accord in all aspects. I
don't recall either of them ever having need of engine or transmission
repair even with well over 100,000 miles on them.

I have an Outback, and I love it. It's the best car I've ever owned.
Don't know about crates, but you can fit a Great Dane and an 82 lb GSD
in the hatch area alone Plus, the seats go down to give more room.
AWD rocks, the best car in snow I've driven.

And they look good

Is it the Impreza Outback? That's the only one I'm considering --
the
others (based on the Legacy instead of the Impreza) are totally out of
my
price range, and too long/large.

Nope, sorry, it's a Legacy.
