Service training using positive reinforcement
Does anyone have good resources for service training using only positive
reinforcement techniques? I have some good ideas and have trained one dog already, but have yet to find a newsgroup or posting area for other service trainers to correspond. Thanks, Tammie

Most competent training programs use primarily positive reinforcement. I don't think it is possible to literally use only positive reinforcement. Most trainers who claim to do so use negative punishment to eliminate unwatne behaviors.. Personally I think it is unfair and unwise to try to train a service dog without providing information as to what is NOT wanted.
