Coda's a nice looking dog. Too bad about the extra length on
his nose, his black pigmentation, and black points on his coat.
Other than those, he'd be perfect - like Friday.

Long nose? Bodhi's breeder saw the photo of them running and said,
"They're almost like brothers in different suits!" Not really, but sort
of...
she could easily see why I was drawn to the Belgians!

grin Friday's perfect in a light way, Coda in the dark way.

(I know I've said it...but I am sort of picky about dark pigmentation.
Otherwise I'd probably have myself a Toller rather than a Belgian!)

Well, he'd be perfect if more of that coat were black and his ears
flopped over like they otter.

At a hunt test this weekend, a Lab guy came over to Storm and said to
me, "The nice thing about Flat-Coats is you never have to teach them to
shake a paw. They have such long noses you can just play shake-a-face
instead!" And he reached down and gave Storm a very genial face-shake.

She wagged. (and then went off to pick up some more ducks! ducks!)

Of COURSE she wagged! I love this long face - it's very kissable as
well. Except when there's duck breath (which Franklin says should be
as often as possible).

Then I better not tell you about the 8 week old girl Toller
puppy that I met last night.

I put out to you all that my daughter is the only seven-year-old girl of my
acquaintance who can compose this sentence:

"Mum, I'd love to hold your hands, but right now they smell like dead
ducks."

LOL. What a kid. I've kind of gotten used to eau de duck. At times,
I have to go right from training to teaching a Basic class, no time to
change clothing. The dogs are a bit confused to say the least. Some
of them intrigued, some of them clearly not comfortable.

They're both gorgeous of course, but I *heart* Coda's color. Unlike SOME
posters, I love that deep, rich gold color with the oh-so-black pigment
and dark eyes.
