Saw a strange dog at work today.
While I was out in the park today loading up some logs for firewood
(we're taking out trees that are dangerous for various reasons) I saw the guy who runs the mow crew (another park employee) talking to one of our campers, probably to make sure it was okay with her to mow close to her RV. The lady was holding her dog back while he talked to her. The dog jumped up on my coworker, snarled, lunging at the end of its leash as he turned, and then popped him in the ankle. My thought was "Gee, if that were my dog, I'd have all sorts of trouble if he behaved like that in public." It really bothers me that small dogs are allowed to misbehave while large dogs aren't. Aaaaaaaanyway, the weird part: dog looked like it was a Cocker/Poodle cross with one merle parent (likely the Cocker). it was colored almost identical to Beau, but with a Poodle coat and Cocker shape. I've never seen a merle "cockerpoo" before. Seems just the thing for a BYB to churn out, but I've just never seen one before. Maybe I just don't see them as much, I dunno (FWIW, I live in Amish-puppymill-central, so I see a lot of random bred and poorly bred dogs). -Amanda BIMBS CH Cat's Cradle's Beaufort, CGC, (TDI soon) Lucy Anna Skye, MB-CD, CGC http://www.uberpest.com |

I wonder if they're being used to produce cockerpoos. Some of them have ticking that looks almost merlish. Beth |

Looks like a merle shar-pei. unique to say the least! -- Janet B www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bestfr...bedience/album |
