another thing to keep in mind, when replying to Jerry, is that
he likes to add lots of obnoxious crosspostings. that means
that your message is showing up in groups that the original
thread was not posted to. most folks in most of these groups
are sick of Jerry and have him killfiled, so they won't see
his crossposting. they'll just see your post, which, as i
said elsewhere, appears completely out of context.
