Default Cataract help

I have a ten yaer old Lhasa Opsa with diabetes and as a result, she is developing cataracts. I do not want to have her go through eye surgery. I've read a little on anti-oxident pills and drops. Has anyone one had any possitive or negative experiences with these or have you tried any other treatments?

Thanks for responding.

AS these cataracts are secondary to poor control of blood sugar (exact
control in dogs is Much more difficult than in humans, so No criticism
is intended here), anti-oxidants will give minimal help. They're better
at preventing than treating... as "regular" geriatric cataracts with no
diabetes... but are not perfect at doing so. As long as the dosage of
the fat-soluble Vitamin E and Vitamin A are not excessive, they are
worth a try, just don't expect miracles.
