Default Questionable Behavior

For the past few days my 6 year-old Cocker Spaniel has been yelping in pain
whenever someone walks by her. We don't even touch her and she yelps. She
seems to do it before she gets up. Other than the times she does this she
is perfectly content. She is eating well, sleeping well and everything else
seems to be fine. She only does it a few times at night. Anyone have any
ideas before I bring her to the vet?

I'm guessing she's using the opportunity presented with a person nearby to
tell the person something's wrong. Whether she's giving you forewarning not
to touch her or trying to get your attention is unknown, could be both.
Either way such a sudden change accompanied by yelping behavior should
always equal an immediate trip to the vet.
