Default Capi, small kidney and no appetite till Cheerios

Well, update on Cappi. Small kidney. Ultrasound, xrays, vet visits and
recommendation diet to no-protein foods. For some time she seemed interested
in eating these foods. We posted after she would not eat much, showed signs
of poor digestion (shaking, vomiting) and then loss of weight to 16.5 lbs
from above 18. She is a cocker spaniel and never been above 20 lbs. due to
kidney size. 3.5 years old. Responses, thank you, recommended spicing food
up, avoiding fish and other steps. But, when she lost even more weight we
were ready to give her any food just to avoid starvation.
Enter Cheerios. Today she eats Cheerios, both regular and Honey Nut.
Cappi is weighing more, bones not sticking out as much.
Her tummy looks bloated though.
Cheerio have no protin. Bettter than our other dog foods and cat foods
around the house.
What could we do?
Hoping we have avoided starvation and made a step toward a real help for our
friend.
J & Z
