my dog is killing my lawn
I have a black lab and golden retriever mix. I have been trying to teach
her to urinate only in certain discreet areas of the yard, but I am not having success and she is killing patches of grass in the main part of the yard. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to train her to only use certain parts of the yard or any other ways to protect my lawn from being killed by her urine? |

We have the same problem with our Yellow Lab/ Golden mix. There are products you can add to her food that will minimize this, but I couldn't see altering my dogs physical processes for a bit of grass. She naturally selects remote areas near the corner of the fence to poop, but will pee anywhere. You can take her to the desired area on leash & hope she takes the hint. In the meantime, water often & play catch. Don S |
