Default Surprisingly aggressive behavior

We got a chi mix from a rescue a couple of months ago. She is a sweet
dog with a really pleasant personality. She sleeps in my daughter's
bed at night and gets extremely protective and won't let anyone near
her (even me whom she follows everywhere when I'm at home!) and growls
viciously and is almost ready to bite your hand off! For now, we've
started tucking our child in and then letting the dog on her bed.
However, this is something I don't like and I was wondering if there
was a way to change this behavior.

Thanks,

GlM

the dog hasn't earned the right to be on the bed. Get her off - crate
her in the bedroom.
